Warnings About Scams
Bsquared Technology Pte Ltd (“B2”) has recently become aware of financial scams that fraudulently using the company name, logo, employee information, and website content to impersonate entities licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”). These scams are designed to deceive individuals into providing personal information or engaging in fraudulent financial transactions, often involving cryptocurrency. To help protect yourself, we urge you to carefully review the following information and independently verify the legitimacy of any communication you receive that appears to be from B2 or someone associated with the company.
Types of Scams
One common tactic fraudsters use is the creation of fraudulent websites that misuse B2 branding or falsely claim to be associated with our company. These websites often aim to collect personal details or lure you into financial transactions that are not authorised by B2. Always ensure you are visiting our official website (https://www.bsqrd.io) and check that the connection is secure by looking for the lock icon in your browser’s address bar.
Another tactic involves phishing emails and escrow scams. These fraudulent emails may claim that B2 offers escrow services for cryptocurrency transactions—a service we do not provide. The emails often contain links to fake B2 websites designed to steal your personal information or cryptocurrency. If you receive such an email, do not click any links or provide any information before verifying its authenticity.
Scammers also attempt to impersonate B2 or public figures associated with us in “double your money” scams. These schemes claim that funds sent to a specific cryptocurrency wallet will be doubled and returned. Be aware that neither B2 nor any of its employees will ever make public solicitations for cryptocurrency payments. If you encounter such a solicitation, it is an attempt to defraud you.
Additionally, fake cryptocurrency investment or mining services may be promoted through unauthorised websites or social media platforms. These communications falsely claim to offer mining or investment opportunities associated with B2. Always verify the legitimacy of such offers by using our officially published contact information.
Fraudsters may also send spoofed emails that appear to come from legitimate B2 domains, but while they may look authentic, but are not sent by B2. To identify spoofed emails, check that they pass SPF (sender policy framework) validation, or contact us independently using trusted communication channels.
Finally, impostors on social media and decentralised chat platforms may claim to represent B2. These individuals often use fake identities to gain trust and solicit payments or information. Always independently verify the identity of anyone claiming to represent B2, especially on platforms widely used in the cryptocurrency industry.
